Busua Beach

Busua Beach is a small and relaxed fishing village on the coast of Ghana known for its beautiful sandy beach and friendly atmosphere. Laughing Goat is located only about three minutes walking distance from the ocean.
Not only will you cool down in the Atlantic ocean, but you will also be able to do activities such as surfing or join the locals on a football game on the beach. The surf season is between April through to September due to the south swells, but you can sometimes score waves off season as well.

Getting to Busua Beach is fairly simple. From Takoradi it takes about one hour by taxi. You can fly from Accra to Takoradi and then take a taxi to Busua. Another option is to take a bus from Accra to Takoradi and continue by taxi to Busua Beach. The total travel time from Accra is usually around eight hours.
Asa Baako is an annual music and cultural festival in Busua, held in early March around Ghana’s Independence celebrations. It combines live music, beach parties, surfing, art, and the famous Jungle Party, featuring both Ghanaian and international artists. Known as a “party with a purpose,” it also supports community and social impact initiatives. It has become one of West Africa’s most talked-about boutique festivals.
